Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study of the mechanical characteristics of sewing machines. Currently, both at the design and operation stages, it is important to determine the mechanical parameters of light industry machines, in particular sewing equipment. Among the main mechanical parameters, the reduced moment of inertia, the reduced moment of resistance and the efficiency are primarily distinguished. It is on these parameters that the reliability of the sewing equipment and its durability depend.

Depending on the type of drive motor, the active power consumed by the electric motor or the armature current is measured to determine the resistance moment. When using a DC motor in the drive, the resistance moment is calculated based on the armature current, and an asynchronous motor is calculated based on the power consumed and currents in the phases. The latter calculation option is used in relation to industrial sewing machines.

Based on the methods described above, various devices and stands have been developed for diagnosing sewing machines based on the resistance moment. Based on the analysis, it can be stated that the problem of determining the dynamic parameters of mechanical systems is relevant and has not been fully resolved at present. This is especially true for determining the moment of inertia, the resistance moment and the efficiency of complex mechanical systems such as sewing machines. Based on the analysis of the capabilities of modern measuring equipment, it can be stated that the above parameters can be determined using modern computer technology.

To date, there are no effective methods for determining the listed parameters using a mathematical apparatus and the capabilities of computer technology. This article is aimed at solving this problem.
