Abstract

The widespread use of mobile devices among children leads to the problem of excessive and uncontrolled usage, which can have negative consequences for a child's physical and mental health, social skills, and academic performance. Traditional methods of parental control often prove ineffective and can lead to family conflicts. This article proposes a new approach to solving this problem based on the principles of gamification.

The aim of the study is to develop a conceptual model of an information system for controlling children's mobile device usage that employs game mechanics to engage the child and adapts to their individual needs. The research focuses on methods, means, and ways of engaging the child through game mechanics and an interesting storyline, developing a conceptual model of a control information system based on game mechanics, identifying effective gamification elements, and analyzing adaptive learning mechanisms that can be used in this system.

The proposed conceptual model envisions transforming the process of using a mobile device into an exciting quest game, in which the child acts as a hero exploring a virtual environment. Access to various applications and device functions is regulated through a system of game tasks and rewards. The complexity of the tasks dynamically adapts to the child's individual needs and performance, ensuring an optimal balance between challenge and motivation.

The results of this study can be further used to develop and implement innovative solutions in the field of parental control that combine effectiveness and engagement. The proposed conceptual model can serve as a foundation for creating practical applications that will assist parents in raising children in an era of rapid digital technology development.
