The article is devoted to the development of a website about the fallen heroes of Vinnytsia United Territorial Community. The source of information is the official register of fallen heroes, published on the open data portal of Vinnytsia City Council. The development and implementation of such a website has a significant impact on human memory, and will also help maintain and preserve the memory of the heroes who defended the residents of the state from the aggression of the Russian Federation.
The main purpose of the article is to describe the stages of designing and developing the design, front-end and back-end parts of the website to preserve the memory of the fallen heroes. The approaches and tools used in the front-end and back-end parts of the website are described separately. At the design stage, a prototype of the future resource was created. It was created based on images for an approximate display of the necessary information. After that, the front-end part of the website was implemented using the html markup language, cascading style sheets css and the svelte framework. To implement the backend, the ASP.NET Core Web API platform was chosen, which is a modern, productive and convenient framework for building RESTful services. It provides high scalability, support for asynchronous operations, convenient integration with client applications, and also meets modern requirements for security and performance. For local testing, the Swagger system was used, which made it possible to check the correctness of the API interaction with the client part.
The result is a successfully launched and working website that shows good performance and traffic indicators. Based on traffic analysis, it was found that it performs all the tasks set and allows users to obtain the necessary information. Additionally, the system implements the ability to view extended information about an individual soldier. This functionality includes displaying not only general personal data, but also information about the place of burial, accompanying comments, date of death, images, and related awards.
