Abstract

An analysis of existing solutions for automated control of aquarium ecosystems using Internet of Things technologies was conducted. Commercially available control platforms, in particular ProfiLux and Neptune Apex, have excessive functionality for home aquariums and high prices. In order to meet the demand for automation of the main functions for controlling the parameters of aquarium life, an easy-to-use and affordable house aquarium control system with IoT elements has been developed. The system for automating home aquarium management is based on common hardware and provides software functionality for controlling the main parameters of a home aquarium, such as temperature, water filtration, lighting, and feeding mode. The developed IoT system for automated monitoring of home aquarium parameters can be used by ordinary users without special training. The open architecture of the IoT system allows the integration of various components, providing online control and monitoring of the aquarium status.
